BlueHammer exploit is a Windows privilege-escalation that targets Microsoft Defender and related Windows services. It uses a race condition (TOCTOU flaw) to let a low-privileged user gain full SYSTEM access on a machine. The exploit became widely known after a security researcher publicly released proof-of-concept code on GitHub, claiming Microsoft was too slow to respond.
