Arch? Been there, done that. Unfortunately, with lots of regrets. I don't really like the unstable nature of rolling-release that the Arch community cherishes, I prefer my distribution to be stable;  fixed-release. I also am incredible incredulous of the AUR.

So, I prefer to keep it simple: Ubuntu/Debian with an unriced i3, similar to @ swag
